Bandar Utama, a subdistrict of Damansara located in Petaling Jaya is a very interesting location and relatively peaceful considering how many leisure and shopping options you can find within it. With its housing area located in the middle of the neighborhood, this whole area is filled with peace for those who prefer one which makes it a perfect room rental spot for peace lovers.
This area is known for its First City University College known as KBU International College (KBU). Another educational institution worth mentioning would definitely be the British International school of Kuala Lumpur which follows the British educational curriculum and which is located right below Centrepoint Bandar Utama mall. Transportation wise, it is worth mentioning the frequent bus to and from Kelana Jaya LRT Station.
When it comes to leisure, Bandar Utama is very popular for it’s Bandar Utama golf club accompanied by its recreational and sports facilities called The Club @ Bukit Utama. According to their website they crave to be the social and sporting heart for Bandar Utama Community, and they came pretty close to achieving that goal we have to say. Many people are not aware that Bandar Utama has its own community centre with a legit community hall. This place is also quite popular for its football, volleyball and basketball courts together with a few badminton courts located indoors. If you crave for a little walk in a park, Central Part Bandar Utama is definitely a place to go. It is positioned right next to the 1Utama shopping centre, so you know where to go cool down once you feel the sweat coming after a long walk.

Bandar Utama is leaning on the biggest Southeast Asian IKEA outlet which is super convenient for anyone living or renting a room nearby. Also a few other places to go shopping are definitely Tesco located in the area and when it comes to shopping malls, we can’t exclude The Curve and 1Utama Shopping Centre which happens to be the largest one in Malaysia with two huge cineplexes. We have to mention Centrepoint Bandar Utama mall for all those living there as one of those more chilled places to go to for lunch breaks, quick shopping sprees and such.
