Next stop on the review of the most popular KL areas to live in would be Kota Damansara. A great place to stay as it is very peaceful because it is far enough from the rush hours within the city centre, yet it’s close enough to main service and leasure places you might need in your daily life.
What makes Kota damansara great is the fact that it seems like a peaceful island located within the urban ocean of Selangor and KL. It is even easier to reach this area today due to the new MRT train line which launched just a few months ago. The name of the station to go off on is Kota Damansara which makes it super easy to find your way to this destination if you are not a local or are unfamiliar with this area of Selangor. Kota Damansara is right next door to Mutiara Damansara which means you are super close to the top places to go out to for a leisure and shopping (The Curve, Tesco and IKEA).

Within the Kota Damansara itself you can find the popular Encorp Strand Mall and Sunway Giza Mall Right in front of the Kota Damansara train station you can find SEGI University and a Hospital (Tropicana Medical Centre). KD is also home to the Selangor Country Polo Club so in case you happen to be a polo fan, you know where to go. And now while we are talking about sports, we can’t ignore the Central Park Dataran Sunway full of good places to eat (exercising the belly) shoulder to shoulder with a futsal and badminton pitches with acceptable rental rates.
Kota Damansara is a home to Kota Damansara Community Forest Park (KDCFP). According to Wikipedia page they write:
It was part of a defunct Sungai Buloh Forest Reserve gazetted in 1898 which contained 3,900 acres (16 km2) of protected primary forest. This made it as the oldest forest reserve in Peninsular Malaysia.
