Process Dr. Pedersen’s case studies determined that a successful course of treatment with GS441 is 12 weeks, administered daily. Some owners have discontinued treatment once blood work and diagnostics have returned to normal; however, the few cats that have relapsed were among those that stopped prior to the 12-week regimen. Because the treatment process is emotionally and financially taxing, most owners currently using GS choose to pursue the full 12 weeks to ensure the highest likelihood of success. Cats that receive the full 12 weeks and remain symptom-free for 90 days after the end of treatment are officially cured of FIP.

GS441 is available in both injectable and pill forms as of June 2019. Both are administered daily, with dosages based on the cat’s weight.
